Throwing names at a young girl like knives,
Cutting through her happy smile,
Teasing, jeering the bullies rise,
Laughing at the tears she cries.
She’s scared to tell her teachers how
The bullies jeer and beat her,
Her friends try to help but do not know
How deep the wounds from the bullies words go.
She tries to hold her tears at bay
So the bullies cannot see how
Their knife like words cut into her
And slowly, surely break her.
At night she cries herself to sleep
And dreams of being beaten up,
She cannot escape the bullies grasp,
For her to smile is too much to ask.
They do not stop, until one day,
The girl does not arrive at school,
They discover the girl is dead,
A suicide note left upon her bed.

So this is a poem I put together just now. As you can see it's about a subject which alot of people can relate to. Including myself. This poem is not a story of happiness. It is deeper than that, and is of sadness and hardships.
I think the message I'm ultimately trying to get across with this poem is:
'Wounds may cut deep but words will always cut deeper.'
